Why Google and Apple have chosen their own Programming languages?

Apple released Swift, a new programming language promised to make it easier to build iPhone and Mac apps than ever before.
The vision behind Swift programming language is faster to write code & results in faster applications like phone.
In my knowledge, Apple isn’t the first company those chosen their own programming language. I have visited in my IT Flashback memory & find in Back 1991 Microsoft released Visual Basic as a way to streamline the development of Basic, one of the earliest popular programming languages with a graphical user interface (GUI). And Sun Microsystems also released Java as like Visual Basic to Microsoft. More recently, circa 2009, Google released Go , its own programming language. So Programming languages behave like religion for so many developers. And Apple, Google, Microsoft, SunMicrosystem, Oracle, SAP, they like god for IT Professionals & developers.
Programming languages are a matter of religion for so many developers. For Apple, Google, and even Microsoft those when to release a new programming language means an uphill battle against the habits and routines of developers and provide new language just like taste of food,
So there must be a carefully considered business case for this, right? Apple and Google must make money from this, right?
When you chose programming language as career, carefully consider any programming language because Apple, Google & others make money from that programming languages and developer treat them as religion.

WHY IS LISP NOT MORE POPULAR?

LISP is a risky choice  for senior management. If things go wrong, no one is going to blame management for picking a popular object oriented language backed by a major corporation like Oracle or Microsoft. Its much easier to hire programmers with experience in popular, easy to learn languages. Even progressive companies willing to use a more powerful language usually don't choose LISP. This is because many of the newer languages try and compromise by borrowing powerful features from LISP, while staying easy to learn for the masses. Scala and Ruby follow this model. Bad programmers can pick them up quickly and keep writing the same mediocre code that they did in Java. Good programmers can take advantage of the more advanced features to write beautiful code. Parentheses are not the problem.  Haskell is an incredibly powerful and expressive language with a syntax similar to Python or Ruby and it hasn't been widely adopted for many of the same reasons as LISP.
